Purpose

This reagent kit for detecting bovine mastitis pathogens is designed for the qualitative detection of DNA (or RNA) of the main bacterial and viral pathogens that cause inflammation of the mammary gland in cows.

The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method enables the detection of pathogens with high sensitivity and specificity, even with low microorganism counts in the sample.

Using the kit ensures:

  • Early and accurate diagnosis of mastitis, including subclinical forms;
  • Detection of mixed infections, when the disease is caused by multiple pathogens;
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of treatment and preventive measures on farms;
  • Reduction of economic losses through the timely detection of sick animals.

The kit is used in veterinary laboratories, research institutions, and production facilities involved in monitoring the health of cattle.
